Brain-Building Play: Activities from Harvard Center on the Developing Child

Dec 09, 2024    |   Printables for Educators

From infancy on, play is an important part of a child’s life. Through games and playful activities, children can practice and strengthen important executive function skills that will help them throughout their lives, including learning to focus their attention, strengthening their working memory, and developing basic self-control.

The Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, in partnership with The LEGO Foundation, created a series of free printables for early learning professionals and care providers that share play-based activities to support children’s development. The activities, which are organized by age, are available in both English and Spanish.
