In a recent episode of the School’s In Podcast from Stanford University, Professor Emerita Deborah Stipek, chair of the DREME network, discusses why early math matters for young children, and shares fun suggestions for engaging little ones in foundational math concepts. 

Professor Stipek notes, “Math is something that kids love to do, and we should give them an opportunity to do it.” The podcast episode also describes research from the DREME Network on teacher preparation in early math, and shares early math resources for parents and educators.
