ECE Voices and EveryChild California is organizing an Advocacy Day in Sacramento for ECE providers on Wednesday, April 24th, and hosting a series of Meet & Greet events for child care providers throughout the state. These events are free to attend and open to anyone. Below you’ll find more information about these events, including how to register!

Join EveryChild California and ECE Voices on April 24th for Advocacy Day at the Capitol! ECE Voices will arrange meetings with legislators and provide an agenda and talking points before the event day.  Register today and receive details through email.

Meet and Greet Los Angeles (Region 11)

Monday, April 22, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM PT
Maryvale Early Education Center, 7600 Graves Ave., Rosemead, CA

Join this event to meet your district representatives, their staff and local leaders in your community. This is a wonderful opportunity to start building a relationship with them that will help when advocating for the ECE field. Come prepared with your own personal stories from the field to share.

Meet and Greet Sacramento (Region 3)

 Thursday, April 18, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM PT
West Sacramento Community Center, 1075 West Capitol Ave. West, Sacramento, CA

Take advantage of this opportunity to let your legislators and local leaders know what support you need to keep your programs stable, pay staff a dignified wage, and ensure California’s children are taken care of in safe and educational environments. 

A digital packet will be provided to you through email before the day of the event letting you know who will be joining, along with their background information.

Meet and Greet Northern California (Region 2)

 Thursday, April 25, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM PT
Virtual event, held via Zoom

Join this event to meet your local and state representatives from Northern California (Butte, Red Bluff, Alpine, Amador, El Dorado, El Dorado, Lassen, Placer, Shasta, Sierra, Plumas, Siskiyou Counties) and share with them what is happening in your classrooms and programs. Topics such as Family Fees, Hold Harmless, and teacher credentialing will be discussed along with a conversation on budget and legislation.

Join this event for a chance to meet your local representatives and their staff. Learn about their priorities for this legislative session and share your experiences with them. This is an opportunity to start building a relationship with them that will help when advocating for the ECE field. Breakfast will be provided.
