Free Resource from ZERO TO THREE: Mindfulness for Early Childhood Educators

While working with preschoolers and young children is an incredibly rewarding job, the work can also be stressful. Caring for little ones requires physical, mental, and emotional energy, and it is incredibly important that educators practice self care in order to prevent burnout.

Studies have found that mindfulness training can have a positive impact on teachers in early childhood settings by strengthening educators’ ability to manage emotional distress and improving their sense of self-compassion, emotional regulation, and feelings of well-being. This ultimately has a positive impact on the children in their care, as educators are able to show up with more energy, patience, and focus.

To help ECE professionals incorporate a mindfulness practice into their busy routines, ZERO TO THREE recently shared a free resource entitled, Mindfulness for Early Childhood Educators. From trainings to apps, this resource has everything educators need to make mindfulness a part of their everyday lives, along with a variety of practical suggestions to use in the classroom.
