Sunday, July 23: Asheba
Asheba is a musical storyteller who specializes in calypso, the musical and folkloric oral tradition of Trinidad, Asheba’s homeland. Stories of hope and happiness are the focus of his songs, which range from original lullabies to fast-tempo tunes to remakes of classics such as Itsy Bitsy Spider, Five Little Monkeys, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and You Are My Sunshine.
Because his music is for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, you’ll find children and parents alike joyfully singing, clapping and dancing along to it.
Andy Z is a multiple award-winning children’s performer, singer/songwriter, and educator who combines music, movement, storytelling, and colorful characters to create an experience that keeps kids engaged and families entertained. Andy’s performances have earned him rave reviews and high-profile appearances on the Pandora Video Series, Pottery Barn Kids Stylehouse website. His Andyland Band has been featured at events including Austin City Limits Music Festival (TX), Strings Music Festival (CO), Facebook Scare On The Square and Family Day Events, San Ramon Art & Wind Festival, Marine Science Institute’s Earth Day on the Bay, Filoli Estate Family Night, and the long-running Redwood City Events series’ – Kids Rock and Almost Mother’s Day.
