Sesame Workshop is offering a variety of free bilingual resources to support parents, educators, and young children during the transition into the new school year. From videos to songs and printable worksheets, there are a variety of tools available to help you support the little ones in your care as they begin the new year.

Visit the Sesame Workshop website to find the full list of resources, or link to one of our favorites, listed below.

  • Rudy Gets Ready for School: Bridging the gap between home and school can help kids feel safe and secure in the classroom. Parents and their little ones might enjoy watching this free video featuring popular Sesame Street characters to see how Rudy’s dad, Freddy, asks questions and involves himself in Rudy’s school.
  • Cookie Monster at Circle Time: This is a free, printable storybook about circle time, classroom community, caring friends, and…cookies! The book can facilitate meaningful conversations about making friends and learning together.
  • Welcome, Artists: Strong connections between teachers and kids can help all children begin the day ready to learn. This video celebrates these important bonds. Educators can watch the video to get ideas for using personalized greetings with young children at drop-off. Young children and parents might enjoy the video to facilitate conversations about how their teachers care about them and keep them safe while at school.
