Karen Alden, Founder of Good2Know Partners, is an enthusiastic advocate for young children, their families, and their caregivers. For the past 10 years, Karen has been a pro bono consultant for nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has served on local and national nonprofit boards. She is a member of the San Mateo County Child Care Partnership Council, and participates in several local early learning advocacy organizations. Earlier in her career, Karen was a business executive in the cable television and food and beverage industries, specializing in distribution, sales strategy, and strategic planning.

Community Content Manager
Natalie earned a degree in Child Development from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, completed a Post-Baccalaureate Program at Idaho State University in Speech and Language Pathology, and earned a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction at Portland State University. Natalie has worked as an early childhood educator at Google Children’s Center and Foothill Preschool, where she developed a commitment to fostering strong relationships between early childhood care & learning providers and the families they serve. Natalie enjoys supporting the work of early learning teachers and caregivers by creating Good2Know Network content and planning webinars and other events.

Operations Manager
Joan Ira was a CPA specializing in taxation, before transitioning to positions in estate management and executive administration. She is a decades-long Redwood City resident, who volunteered in her children’s schools and continues to be active in Redwood City issues and neighborhood events.

Jordan has many years of experience leading marketing and communications teams in the not-for-profit sector. She prioritizes work that serves a greater purpose, and finds the wide-reaching impact of quality childcare and early childhood education a natural fit for rewarding and impactful work. Jordan is a self-proclaimed “techie” and enjoys applying her communications experience and knowledge of digital technology and marketing to help Good2Know Network get advocacy messages and provider resources into the right hands at the right time.

Board Member
Tonantzin Mitre is a passionate Program Officer dedicated to improving educational equity. Her relentless commitment to empowering individuals and communities is reflected in her implementation of a robust portfolio that significantly enhances educational opportunities and drives community engagement. With a strong background in early childhood education, she has previously dedicated her career to elevating the quality of care and learning environments for young children through her roles at WestEd and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Tonantzin is fiercely dedicated to ensuring that all young children and their families have affordable access to quality childcare. Holding a BA in Political Science and an MS in Urban Policy, she combines her academic knowledge with practical experience to advocate for systemic change in education and childcare.

Cyrena Chih is Senior Director of Product Management at Service Now. Previously Cyrena was Head of Product & Business Development at Duck Duck Moose, an award-winning creator of educational mobile applications for children, which is now a subsidiary of Khan Academy. She has a broad range of business experience, including positions in product management, strategy, and finance. Cyrena is committed to ensuring that young children get the care they need for a strong start in life.
Board Member
Marcos Perez is the Internal Audit Director at Cutera, Inc. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has earned his CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) certification. Marcos was a Board member of the McKesson Employee Resource Group where he served as Treasurer and Professional Development committee member. He is currently serving as the Treasurer of Good2Know Partners.
Marcos comes from a family of educators, and has enjoyed participating as coach of his two sons’ athletic teams. He places a high value on education and on the early childhood educators served by Good2Know Network.
