Trauma-Informed Care FFN Training & Cafes with 4Cs of SMC (Stipend Available!)

Join the 4Cs of San Mateo County in partnership with Child Care Resource Center and Child Care Providers United for a free Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) training group for Family Child Care and Family, Friend and Neighbor (FFN) providers!

Participants will have the opportunity to…

  • Learn valuable TIC strategies 
  • Discover pathways to addressing traumatic behavior 
  • Engage in meaningful conversations with the childcare provider community
  • Build a professional support network 

Participants are eligible to receive a $500 stipend. To receive the full stipend, participants must…

  • Attend all trainings and cafes
  • Request and submit all necessary documents including certificates of completion
  • Have cameras on at all times and be fully present in order to count participation (the trainings and cafes will be held online via Zoom)

Schedule

  • Wednesday, August 14th: Orientation Meeting – 6:00 – 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, August 17th: TIC Training (Full day, 8hr training) – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday, August 20th: TIC Cafe #1 – 6:30 – 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday, August 27th: TIC Cafe #2 – 6:30 – 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday, September 3rd: TIC Cafe #3 – 6:30 – 8:00 pm
