When the vaccine becomes available to the ECE field, 4Cs will post notifications on their website, and via social media and direct emails. If you are not in the 4Cs database, or are unsure, please send your contact information to covidvaccineinfo@sanmateo4cs.org to receive the most recent vaccine information.
SMC Health is providing updates on county distribution. They are partnering with the hospitals, clinics, and care facilities throughout the county to ensure they are positioned to be able to administer the vaccine.
The majority of vaccinations in San Mateo County will be done by health care organizations. When organizations cannot vaccinate directly, a county partner will do so. Contact your health care provider for the most accurate and up to date information about when and how you can expect to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
SMC has begun vaccinating people in the top priority category, Phase 1, Tier 1a – front-line health care workers, residents of long-term care facilities, and individuals over the age of 65.
Educators and child care providers are expected to be in the next group, Phase 1, Tier 1b. Tier 1b is expected to start in the next few weeks, though that may change depending on further guidance from the state. The exact time-frame has not yet been determined.
