Center-based providers and family child care home providers in California are invited to apply for the Infrastructure Grant Program (IGP): New Construction and Major Renovation (NCMR) funding opportunity for new and existing facilities.
What Can the Grant be Used For?
The California Department of Social Services has $150 million appropriated in grants for new construction and major renovation of child care facilities. Funds must be used to build new child care spaces, through construction, major renovations, or structural changes, including by:

Renovating or building out an existing facility by adding classrooms

Constructing a brand-new facility

Replacing a facility lost due to a state or federally-declared disaster

Expanding Small Family Child Care Homes to Large Family Child Care Homes
How Do I Apply?
Interested applicants can apply electronically using the Submittable web portal, available on the NCMR webpage.
Applications must be received on or before 11:59 PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
