Parent or child care provider and young child prepare an emergency preparedness kit for kids

The beginning of the school year is a good time to review your program’s emergency preparedness plans. A helpful resource is the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)’s online preparedness course for early learning and care providers, which includes information about learning to identify, assess, and plan for hazards at child care sites.

This course is designed for ECE professionals in programs of all sizes (including home child care sites, center-based facilities, nursery schools, camps, faith-based programs, and more). The course is free, self-paced, and provides continuing education units (CEUs).

Find the online learning module here or, find more detailed information about the course and about receiving CEUs here.
