Grow in Your ECE Career! Classes are Available at Cañada College

Are you working with children under the age of 5, and in search of professional development opportunities? Cañada College has several early childhood education (ECE) classes available in the upcoming school year. You can take a few classes to learn and grow in your career, or you might plan to take several in pursuit of an ECE certificate. 

ECE Classes

Check out some of the available classes below…

  1. ECE 210- ECE Principles 

  2. ECE 212- Child, Family, and Community

  3. ECE 201- Child Development

  4. ECE 211- ECE Curriculum

  5. ECE 260- Children with Special Needs

  6. ECE 254- Teaching in a Diverse Society

  7. ECE 333- Observation and Assessment of Young Children

  8. ECE 313- Health, Safety, and Nutrition

  9. ECE 366- Practicum in ECE

If you have never taken ECE courses before, this class is a great place to get started! By completing all nine of the classes listed above, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement in Early Childhood Education.

If you are interested in learning more about working with young children who have special needs and abilities, you might enjoy these classes…

  1. ECE 260- Children with Special Needs (3 units)

  2. ECE 263- Curriculum and Strategies for Children with Special Needs (3 units)

  3. EDUC 265- Positive Behavior Support in Inclusive Settings (3 units)

  4. EDUC 300- Applied Inclusive Strategies (1 unit)

By completing all four of the classes listed above, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement in Inclusion Support.
