Native American Children’s Books to Celebrate Indigenous People’s Day

Indigenous People’s Day will be celebrated next Monday, on October 9th. This is a perfect time to introduce literature to young children that celebrates Indigenous culture and traditions. While we often think of the Native American people around the Thanksgiving holiday, exploring Indigenous stories in our curriculum throughout the year helps to facilitate deeper learning and a more honest understanding of the rich and vibrant culture.
