This October, celebrate Global Diversity Awareness Month by taking time to appreciate the diverse minds and wide range of beliefs expressed through the world’s cultures. As the world becomes connected, embracing diversity becomes an increasingly important way to maintain unique cultures, traditions, and practices and help strengthen our understanding and appreciation of the world.
Global Diversity Awareness Month represents the perfect opportunity to learn more about a different culture, read articles about current events in other nations, watch a film set in another country, or try a recipe featuring international flavors.
As early care and learning providers, we can view global cultures as inspiration for bringing songs and stories from around the world into our curriculum.
