Online Learning Modules for CA ECE Professionals: New Courses Available!

ECE Professional in Continuing Education Course working with preschool age child

In January 2023, California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) and California Department of Social Services (CDSS), in partnership with WestEd, announced the launch of a comprehensive suite of 12 new series of online professional development (PD) modules designed for Early Learning and Care professionals in all roles and settings.

The modules are self-paced and free to child care providers. The series is available on the California Early Childhood Online (CECO) website.

Recently, the fourth and fifth phases of the initiative were launched, which included the following new learning opportunities:

Health and Safety for Center-Based Programs (2.5 PD clock hours)
Health and Safety for Family Child Care Settings (2.5 PD clock hours)
Inclusive Practices for Children with Disabilities or Delays (10 PD clock hours)
Becoming an Early Care and Education Professional (6 PD clock hours)
