Tandem Early Learning’s Tips for Reading Math-themed Books with Children

Mar 16, 2023    |   Printables for Educators

When we read with young children, we are helping to develop important skills in early literacy. Reading books that incorporate counting and shapes can also help develop children’s curiosity and enjoyment of math.

Tandem Early Learning recently shared free printables for parents and educators with tips for introducing little ones to early math and literacy skills during storytime. The printables are available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.  The handouts share ideas and opportunities for introducing counting, shapes, addition, and subtraction during read-aloud stories.
