From the very first interactions, parents and caregivers nurture the development of their child. These interactions between children and caregivers are foundational to children’s healthy growth and development and overall well-being. The science of early childhood has elevated these activities within a complex framework, now known as Early Relational Health.
In this webinar, hosted by Campaign for Grade Level Reading (CGLR), participants will learn about how Early Relational Health brings together early childhood research and the lived experiences of families to form an aligned approach for equipping parents to be brain builders, first teachers, coaches, and best advocates for their children.
This webinar will include a panel of speakers who have expertise in the early childhood field:
- Ron Ferguson, Ph.D., of The Basics, an early learning organization that is dedicated to supporting infants, toddlers, and preschoolers of all racial/ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds to achieve their full potential
- Miriam Westheimer, Ed.D., of HIPPY International, an early literacy organization that shares a curriculum designed to promote children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Mayra E. Alvarez, MHA, President of The Children’s Partnership, a California advocacy organization advancing child health equity through research, policy, and community engagement.
Parents and caregivers will leave this webinar with the tools, skills, and confidence to teach young children and help them reach their full potential.
