The Link Between ECE and Academic Success

Sep 09, 2021    |   Research Updates for ECE Educators

A study from A Council for a Better Louisiana found that even just one year of early childhood education can boost long-term academic success.

The study, entitled LA 4 Longitudinal High School Outcomes, compared academic results of students who were in the Louisiana pre-k program with those who were not, and found major gaps in performance. The researchers found demonstrable benefits in the academic careers of students who had attended pre-k that lasted through high school.

This study is a helpful reminder of the important work of ECE professionals! The work that you do makes a difference!
