Video from Harvard: How Early Experiences Affect Health & Learning

This animated video, narrated by Center on the Developing Child Director Jack P. Shonkoff, M.D., highlights the latest research about the impact that early experiences have, not only on early learning, but also on lifelong health.

This video focuses, in particular, on the way that negative experiences such as poverty, trauma and discrimination affect the developing brain and body.

Watching the video is a reminder that our work with young children is vitally important!  When we nurture and engage young children, we are also supporting their future wellbeing and lifelong health.
