Resources for Families from Parents Helping Parents

Parents Helping Parents (PHP) supports families with concerns about their child’s development, by identifying the family’s needs and providing information and resources to meet them. Click here to learn more.

Who Can Get Help?

Parents of children 0-3 years-old who are interested in finding out more about Early Start services in Santa Clara County, can receive support from PHP. For parents who have a child that is 3 and over, PHP can help to explain the steps needed to start school services, including how to request an assessment for special education services, what assessments are and what they mean, and information about assistive technology.

Available Services

For a complete list of their services, click here or check out their video series that explains what services are available in California, tools, and strategies that might help children with potential delays, and information about the transition from Early Start services to Special Education preschool services.

These videos and accompanying resource guides can be found at the Get An Early Start Video Series page.

PHP also helps to establish connections between families who have children with special needs.
